Reuters reported that there will be another installment to the theatrical library of the X-Files cinema releases. The first movie based on the TV series premiered in 1998. Internet rumors have abounded over whether or not there would be another one.
Fox stated that production is set to begin December 10th with a projected release date in the US on July 25th, 2008, which would pit it against the Will Farrell comedy, Step Brothers.
Not much is known yet about the story line, except that it will be a supernatural thriller exploring a bit more into FBI agents Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) and Fox Mulder’s (David Duchovny) relationship, as fans of the series might expect.
