Saw ‘The Incredible Hulk’ today for my daughter’s 13th birthday (Happy Birthday Chloe!!!) and had to say, I didn’t completely hate it. Seriously, though, I LOVE Edward Norton and Tim Roth, so despite the comic book adaptation (which I normally detest, save for Christian Bale as Batman), the movie was quite entertaining. If you are a CGI fan, there are effects-a-plenty. The sound editing was great, the score wonderful, and the acting (except for the usually boring Liv Tyler) was more than competent. Lou Ferrigno has a cameo in the film as a security guard (in addition to voicing the beast) and he, at 56, looks amazing. Another homage to the original television show occurs early in the film, when Norton (as Banner) is channel surfing and catches a few seconds of “The Courtship of Eddie’s Father” (starring Bill Bixby.) All in all, I have to say I was pleasantly surprised, despite the ending which begs for a sequel. Comments |
