One of England’s most versatile actors, Sean Bean (b. 17 April 1959) has had and continues to enjoy a prolific career in television, stage, and film which has currently spanned nearly twenty years … and he’s one hot hunk to boot! Obviously I’m not the only one who thinks so, as he is currently married to his 4th wife (and has 3 daughters.)
Anyway, back to business. Similar to fellow countryman Gary Oldman, Bean started his career playing primarily villians, but took on several more “likeable” roles, such as in Odysseus in “Troy” (2004) and Kyle in “North Country” (2005); however, his turn in the 2008 remake of “The Hitcher” allowed him to, once again, display his menacing capacity (although I’m sorry to say Rutger Hauer was infinitely creepier in the original.)
Other notable movie roles (which I’ve seen) are “The Lord of the Rings” (all 3 films for which he and the cast were either nominated for or won ensemble acting awards), “The Dark” (with Maria Bello), “Outlaw” (a quite good Nick Love vehicle), “Flightplan” (with Jodie Foster), “The Island” (directed by Michael Bay), “National Treasure” (with Nicolas Cage), “Lady Chatterly” (ooooh, sexy), “Patriot Games” (with Harrison Ford), and “Don’t Say a Word” (opposite Michael Douglas.)
Currently, he has five films in various stages of production.

Le Gasp! He looks weird with short hair. Whatever, being a LOTR fanatic, he will forever be Boromir to me. In which case he (Boromir, not Sean) ticks me off to no end. I don’t know why. He just does. Faramir is better, even though he looks like Robin Hood.
Oh, Sean Bean is a cool name. If you pronounce it “seen bean” it rhymes. He’s a good actor in the other films I’ve seen him in, especially National Treasure.
I love that you’ve profiled my obsession. (Okay, not obsession per se, but I lubs the Bean!) Just watched “Far North” not that long ago on Netflix Watch Instantly. He doesn’t say much, really, throughout the film..but there’s shadowed man bits, so WIN!
Heh.
