A review of “Twilight” by a member of its target audience

Hi folks.  This is Movie_Maven_Jr.  So, I went to the Twilight premiere with my friends, since I really like the books, and have been hounded by my MOTHER for a month to write a review. So I will now.

ACTORS:
Kristen Stewart was a good choice for Bella, since she had the looks and acted the part well.

Robert Pattinson was Edward, so he now has tons of teenage girls swooning over him (not me though, Jasper is better in my opinion). When he first came on he screen I started laughing, since he was Cedric Diggory in the Harry Potter movies, and I really dislike Cedric because he is an annoying prat, and that was all I could see him as, but I got over it after half an hour. He wasn’t whom I pictured as Edward, and his nose is just WEIRD from the side. But, he did a decent acting job though.

Ashely Greene was PERFECT for Alice. She has the EXACT face, so that made me happy, and she did a good job portraying Alice’s mannerisms and personality.

Jackson Rathbone (Jasper) was hilarious with that in-pain look (which looked like Edward Scissorhands) and was incredibly adorable during the most awesome baseball scene.

Nikki Reed was okay looks-wise for Rosalie, but her hair looked strange to me. Good acting though.

Kellan Lutz was good for Emmett, except for his hair because it wasn’t curly enough.  He, too, was good acting-wise.

Peter Facinelli as Carlisle was a good choice, he looked and played the part really well. And he’s a vegetarian.

Elizabeth Reaser was an okay Esme, she wasn’ in a lot of it, but still was okay.

Taylor Lautner was a okay Jacob. I thought he wasn’t the right looks for the part and had a strange voice for it, but he acted fine.

Cam Gigandet was okay, not how I pictured him looking.

Rachelle Lefevre was a really good Victoria, with great looks and acting.

Edi Gathegi was okay as Lauret, I was sort of thrown off by him being Jamacian; I have no recollation of him being Jamacian in the book, I thought he was French!

STORY:
It followed the book pretty closely, except a few parts, but what they changed didn’t really affect my opinion.

SOUNDTRACK:
I actually really liked the soundtrack, so I’m going to borrow my friends CD and put it on my ipod. Some of the artists included are Paramore, Linkin Park, and Robert Patinson sings on it as well.

All in all, out of 10 stars, I would give it 7 and 3/4.
