Yesterday, Mr_Movie_Maven bribed me with sushi for dinner to go see “Fast & Furious” with him. I am not a fan of these type of movies AT ALL; however, ever since he saw the preview all he has talked about was the “car in the movie.” Remember, he is a true redneck cowboy, so cars are on an equal level with food, NASCAR, and bowhunting.
But what really propelled me to accompany him was Vin Diesel. I don’t think the man can act his way out of a paper bag (unless he’s acting like a tough guy which is really no thespian stretch whatsoever) and he looks like my brother, LOL. But the man has got the ABSOLUTE BEST ARMS in the entire WORLD. I’m an arm girl (Mr_Movie_Maven will flex his for me if I ask, but I digress.)
Anyway, the film was chock full of Vin in a tight tank top or short-sleeved t-shirt through most of it, so I was pretty happy. Ask me about the plot, the character development, or the cinematography and I must honestly say I cannot remember. But Vin’s arms (and Paul Walker’s gorgeous blue eyes) made the film for me. I can also identify the year, make, and model of each vehicle in the film as well, thanks to Mr_Movie_Maven who so graciously identified them for me (oohing at the cars as much as I was oohing at Vin’s arms!)
Now, I have never seen the first 3 films, so I was initially worried that I wouldn’t be able to keep up with the inherent character and plot developments sequels present. Needless to say I had no problem understanding the film. Action, car races, death, fighting, more car races, and more action pretty much covers it.
It did, in fact, exceed my extremely low expectations…that’s a good thing!

I agree, Vin has amazing arms and Paul is a doll. Also welcoming is Vin Diesel’s smoldering sexy voice. I haven’t seen the movie… but I might now.
