 As the new Movie_Maven, I, frankly, adore the ‘About’ information left by my predecessor; therefore, until I can think of something equally entertaining, I will hereby adopt the words left for me.

Per the previous MovieMaven: 

“Very few of us who’ve inhabited these last fifty years in our Western, image/media-driven culture can deny the impact that Hollywood and the motion picture industry can have on public discourse and perspective.

Arguably, every movie is a commentary on at least one person’s perspective on a major life issue. Some get it right and others just plain flop. These are the ones we remember.

I’m here to help you ferret out those that fall in between.

Since I’m beholden to no production company and subsequently secure well under a million dollars for my reviews and commentaries, I get to be a guy with a free opinion on the movies we see and the people who make them happen. I may wax poetic, decorate my reviews with ornate prose or just be plain snarky. Either way, I’ll say something I care about and I dare you to disagree!
